Algorithm, shmalgorithm

Do you know who writes the algorithm for social media channels?

No, neither do I. Few do and it’s designed that way.

You’ll read on many a ‘guru’s’ platform, ‘tips’ about how to ‘beat’ the ‘sacred’ algorithm, but alas (even if they’re accurate at the time of writing) as soon as such ‘tips’ are provided they’re out of date.

You might be able to pick up on trends. Lol hey, even the social channels themselves issue smidgens of insights into how they hoover up our online behaviour.

But to think that Meta, or LinkedIn, or X et. al. would share their secret, secret sauce to the outside world is amusing to me.

So wha-dya do?

Regularly refer your own online objectives.

Focus on your own data.

Evaluate that, then adapt your content accordingly to ensure that you’re consistently reaching your communities.

Speaking of sauces. Raspberry or chocolate on a baked vanilla cheesecake?

That’s it. That’s all.
