Make it ‘gO vIRaL’!
This request is the bane of social media managers’ lives.
What you don’t see when that tactic is requested is said manager rolling their eyes far back into their eye sockets.
You do know that most social messages that ‘GO ViRaL’ do so by accident?
The object of posting to your social channels is not to ride a trend, or popular hashtag, or specifically for virility (is that the right way to use that word?Sounds kinda…reproductive. Anywhoo), it’s to engage consistently with your intended audiences - no matter what’s going on.
Should your message ‘take off’, make sure you know how to manage the subsequent attention that you get. Make sure you can answer all the questions, manage the trolls and most importantly, that you can effectively monetise a ‘viral’ post.
Now I’m rushing off to find out the different tenses are for ‘viral’.
